Mycoplasma is a sexually transmitted infection (STI) that can affect the urethra, vagina, and throat.
- The incubation period is usually 1 to 5 weeks after infection.
- Men may experience mild itching, pain when urinating, or a small amount of discharge.

Even without symptoms, the infection can still spread, so regular testing is recommended.
Treatment involves antibiotics, but common antibiotics don't work for this infection. Instead, macrolide antibiotics are used.
