Syphilis can cause a variety of symptoms throughout the body and, if left untreated, can lead to serious health problems.

Syphilis progresses through four stages after infection:

Stage 1 (Primary Syphilis):

• Occurs about 3 weeks after infection.
• A painless hard lump appears at the site of infection.
• The lump may develop into an ulcer.
• Swelling of nearby lymph nodes.
• Symptoms disappear naturally within 3 to 6 weeks. If untreated, the disease progresses to the next stage.

Stage 2 (Secondary Syphilis):

• Occurs 4 to 10 weeks after Stage 1 symptoms.
• A wide range of symptoms appear throughout the body.
• A rash, known as "roseola," appears on the palms, soles, and all over the body.
• Systemic symptoms include fever, fatigue, headache, and swollen lymph nodes.
• Symptoms disappear naturally, but if untreated, the disease moves to Stage 3.

Stage 3 (Latent Syphilis):

• Occurs 3 to 10 years after infection.
• Gummas (rubbery tumors) form on the skin, bones, muscles, and internal organs.
• Gummas destroy surrounding tissue and can cause deformities, such as a collapsed nose.

Stage 4 (Tertiary Syphilis):

• Damage the cardiovascular system (e.g., aneurysms, aortic rupture).
• Damage the nervous system (e.g., neurosyphilis).
• Without proper treatment, it can result in serious complications or death.

Early detection and proper antibiotic treatment are crucial for curing syphilis and preventing severe health issues.

Hepatitis B is a liver disease caused by the Hepatitis B virus (HBV). There are two main forms:

• Acute Hepatitis B: This happens when adults are infected with HBV for the first time.
• Chronic Hepatitis B: This occurs in people who have been continuously infected with HBV (HBV carriers). If left untreated, it can progress to cirrhosis or liver cancer.

Hepatitis C is a liver disease caused by the Hepatitis C Virus (HCV).

Around 80% of people infected with Hepatitis C show no symptoms. If symptoms do occur, they may include loss of appetite, stomach pain, fatigue, and dark-colored urine. During the acute phase, symptoms may also include general fatigue, nausea, vomiting, pain in the upper right side of the abdomen, and bloating.

The risk of Hepatitis C is serious, as it can have a long-term impact on health. Many people with the infection progress to chronic hepatitis, and over time, this can lead to cirrhosis of the liver.
