[How and When to take]

*On-Demand PrEP: (Taking Before and After Sex)

• ①. 2 to 24 hours before sex: Take 2 pills.
• ②. 24 hours after the first dose: Take 1 pill.
• ③. 48 hours after the first dose (24 hours after the second dose): Take 1 more pill.

Make sure to follow this cycle (2 pills - 1 pill - 1 pill). The time to take the pills is based on when you start the first dose, not when the sex ends.

If You Have Sex on Consecutive Days:

• Take 1 pill every 24 hours.
• Stop taking the pills after you have taken 2 doses following your last sexual activity.

*Daily PrEP: (Taking Every Day)

• Take 1 pill every day, at the same time each day.
• This method involves consistent daily use to help prevent HIV.

• It is one way to prevent HIV infection.
• If taken as scheduled, it has been shown to prevent approximately 99% of sexually transmitted HIV infections.

[Common Side Effects]

• Headache, nausea, and abdominal distension may occur (around 2%).
• Most of the side effects are mild and usually go away within a month. However, if the side effects are severe or bother you, please consult your doctor.
• If you experience fever, fatigue, or cold-like symptoms (flu-like symptoms), consult your doctor as soon as possible, as these may not be side effects but may be HIV infection before or immediately after starting PrEP.
